Celebrating Week Without Driving
Today marks the final day of Week Without Driving, and we're grateful to the City of Beaverton and Mayor Beaty for recognizing the importance of transportation options in our community with a proclamation this week. Join THPRD October 4 at Garden Home Rec Center
Join THPRD for their inagural Bike with Me event at Garden Home Recreation Center. Their first guided ride will take off at 10 am and bike along the Fanno Creek Trail to Vista Brook Park. At the park, you'll get to enjoy outdoor games, learn about bike safety, and grab a snack. Beaverton Safe Routes to School (SRTS) will provide helmet fittings and helmets, if needed. I-5 closure in Portland beginning Sept 11
Starting September 11, 2026, all lanes of I-5 southbound will be closed through the Rose Quarter between I-405 and I-84 around the clock for up to 5 weeks. One lane will remain open from I-405 to the Broadway exit at the Moda Center. Closures are expected to cause the worst traffic in the region's history.
PBOT is encouraging travelers and commuters to change their habits and plans to accommodate for increased travel times and congestion.
